ANTICIPATION:PERCUMAH KARENA BEDA PAS DI LAPANGAN

Hahahaha, pada bingung ya sama judulnya, anyway biarin aja dah kalo bingung. Ada beberapa hal yang pengen gua share ke semuanya yang masih berhubungan dengan pekerjaan.
Yah, pekerjaan adalah ibadah. Mungkin banyak yang belum sadar atau mungkin pernah denger atau apapun, tapi sekarang biar pada tahu aja. Hehehe, gak penting sih. Yang pengen gua share disini adalah pekerjaan yang TW dapetkan dari Vertical, temen2 TW yang dulu barengan di Vertigo, lieur kan ? Dua minggu lebih kita prepare dengan segala macem antisipasi yang mungkin bisa terjadi, secara kita udah 5 tahun berpengalaman ngerjain projek ini. OH ya buat yang belum pada tahu ini proyek annualnya PT Sampoerna tiap tahun.
Terus, kebetulan tahun ini Vertical diminta assist team Sampoerna untuk presentasinya dan berangkat ke Bali. Hooray !
Nah, singkat cerita dimulai saat gladiresik, di hotel Westin, Nusa Dua, A Mild latihan presentasi. Tiba2 saja pas ngeliat video presentasinya mereka minta dirubah, almost the whole thing, which is IMPOSSIBLE, secara semua filenya ada di Jakarta, kalo ngerjain powerpointnya doang mah 10 menit jadi kali, nah ini file video yang mesti dirender dll. Terus kita kontak ke Yoseph yang di kantor jakarta, akhirnya keputusannya adalah apapun yang direvisi akan diupload via web, dan didownload di Bali, which is gak papa karena gua bawa modem IM2 yang stabil dan kenceng jadi its okay.
Tapi Yoseph sendiri gak yakin dengan ukuran file yang guede banget. jadi akhirnya gak jadi ngerjain di jakarta tapi kita edit file yang ada pake mesin editing disana. Can you imagine its 9 o’clock already and we have to edit something that they already approved, my God.
Untungnya ada orang area, sebutan orang Sampoerna di daerah, yang punya laptop dengan software editing, jadilah akhirnya kita ngedit di laptopnya ni orang. Yang, udah dua hari gak tidur buat bantuin nyiapin acara ini dan baru balik dari Surabaya, karena orang ini berdedikasi tinggi dan sangat sabar tentunya, beliau dengan senang hati membantu (daripada gua di komplain pusat….hehehe begitu mungkin pikirnya)
Sejam kemudian file yang diedit tersebut selesai dan bisa dipakai dan yang punya brand, A Mild, senang dan bahagia karena videonya berjalan sesuai dengan keinginan mereka…
The moral of the story is
1. You will never have enough anticipation for anything.
Dalam hal ini kita udah nyiapin semateng2nya bahwa ni presentasi is solid, 90%, paling ada yang kecil2 yang mesti dibenerin, eh malah hal yang kita anggap udah fix masih mesti dibenerin.
2. Spot the problem, brainstorm the solution, pick the best solution available
Intinya cari masalahnya apa, pikirin solusinya apa yang paling cepet(kalo berhubungan dengan waktu) dan gak ribet. Kadang solusinya adalah sesuatu yang sangat mudah dan simpel banget, dalam hal ini ternyata telpon orang daerah tanyain punya software editing mpeg dan ternyata ada. Tanpa harus ngerjain di jakarta dan ngirim file via internet yang masih besar kemungkinan ada kesalahan
3. Improvise and use all of your resources that available
Hahaha, dalam hal ini semua channel yang bisa membantu di telpon dan mencari solusi yang terbaik dan paling gak rese dan minimal tingkat kesalahan, yaitu pinjem komputer orang yang ada software editingnya (it works) dalam hal lain, kalo kepepet, mangkanya rajin bergaul dan inget sama orang, punya temen yang bisa bantuin mecahin masalah kalo udah stuck
Sama halnya dalam hidup segala sesuatu yang kita persiapkan itu nggak ada apa-apanya. Artinya, kita sebagai manusia boleh aja berkehendak, punya kemauan dan keinginan, udah kita siapin segala macem antisipasi biar jalan kita lancar, tapi in the end kalo nggak dapet ‘IZIN’ dari Yang Maha Kuasa ya tetep aja ada masalah. Bahkan mau seperfect apapun tetep aja kita masih di kasih ‘cobaan’ biarpun kecil banget, tapi tetep aja kalo nggak ada jalan keluar pasti jadi masalah gede kan.
Sedangkan dalam hidup Gusti Allah selalu ‘ngetest’ manusia buat tahu seberapa tawakalnya manusia sama Gusti Allah. Kita sering lupa kalo ada masalah terus ribet sendiri, nggak mencoba tenang liat masalahnya apa baru temukan solusinya, kalo udah mentok ya tanya sama yang jadi SUMBER SEGALA SUMBER, do’a. Insya Allah dikasih petunjuk, asal kita mau sabar dan menangkap solusi yang diberikan, kadang solusi yang diberikan suka gak masuk akal alias bisa gampang banget gitu, asal kita mau dan mampu menangkap solusi yang diberikan. Tapi kadang jawaban itu nggak muncul begitu aja bisa itungan detik, menit bahkan hari, atau bahkan kita ‘disuruh’ coba dulu dengan jawaban kita.
Life is about improvisation, nothing is as it seems, nothing is perfect. Mangkanya kita harus selalu siap kapanpun, dimanapun, siapapun karena ya itu, mau se-oke apapun persiapan tetep aja di’test’ jadi ya kita terima dan jalani semua itu dengan SABAR, IKHLAS dan TAWAKAL, karena ya, memang cuman itu yang bisa dilakukan.
Jadi ya dalam semua hal siap-siap improve terus !!!!

Hahaha, funny things about life is that you always have to be ready for any surprises that may come up infront of you. What I mean by surprise is that even though you prepare or even plan very carefully how or again control your how your outcome would be there are no fool proof plan that it will go as smooth as you expect it to be.
No matter how hard we control it. Trust me.
Somehow, the Almighty God, always test us, if you believe, to see that as God’s creation (again if you believe) without His ‘approval’ none of our plan would become as we expect it, no matter how detail we try to plan it. Funny huh?
Like Lenny Kravitz’s song “What Comes Around Goes Around” anything that we do no matter how small good or bad will always come back to you in a very surprising way or even hurtful. Maybe that is why if you do good things then good things will come back to you or if you do bad things then bad things will happen to you. Karma you may say.
But it sometimes it doesnt go that way either, somehow the people who do good things are the one that, always if not a lot of times, constant ‘bad things’ happen to them, why? I dont know.
But its not a bad thing though, somehow those repetitive bad things makes you stronger, even a better person than before or you thought you knew.
All and all, life is a balance, good and bad, best and worse and so on, the philosophy goes with everything. Can you imagine where there are no bad people around where everybody are good, can you imagine how life would be so dull, because there are no room to improve yourself, or where everyone is a crooks and there are no good person then there are no store to rob because everyone is a crook hahaha and so on and so forth.
Life is beautiful and ugly, we have to accept that. Always prepare yourself with surprises, any surprises, by doing that, we would accept any good or bad things that might happen around you with smile and acceptance and believe that those things will bring GOODNESS in you or you say that it will make you a better person. Comment anyone?

Damn it, I have to write blogs

Dear all,
finally I have my own blog, which is sadly I dont know whether I have enuff energy or even enough thoughts to write here. Hehehe. Sometimes it is easy sometimes is not, but like the great Jedi master Yoda said ” Do or do Not there is no try…”
So then I have to do it, I have to put my energy once in a while to write this blog whether I have anything on my mind or not.
It is raining hard today, traffic jam everywhere, I don’t know whether I can go home and play tennis with my cousins or not or go straight home and play with Radi…hmmm
Anyway, christmas is getting near but I still have no words from my parents in the US, they haven’t write to me in a while now, I hope that they are alright, miss them much. Most of my friends who went abroad the same year with me already go back to the US, whether to go to university, working or even just visiting, but for me it’s been 14 years. My God its really been that long.
One of the thing that I miss about America is the white christmas, the snow. You never have those in Indonesia unless you go to Jayawijaya Mountain in Papua. I still remember clearly how my first snow was, how the snow melts in your hand, how numbing they can be, how the coldest snow can cuts your skin (and hurts bad), how you can tobagoing (it is somekind of sled where you go up the hill and go down riding the sled), how you have to go swimming practice in the coldest day, how beautiful my watercolor painting that iMade for my mom was, how wonderful the morning at christmas where you drink hot choco with marshmellow and opening up your gifts, seeing your uncles and aunts opening my gifts (don’t know whether they like it or not) but iThink they did, how cold every morning is, and you have to cuddle under the blanket….goodness how can iRemember most of the details, there are more stories but later
In the end christmas is more or less the same with Idul Fitri in Indonesia where most of your relatives come together and celebrate, though in America it has less religion meaning, but it is really one of the occasions where most of Americans cherish. Family is a family no matter where you are, a family is a place where you can always go home to, no matter how far you go or away, they are the one who always have an open arms and accept you for who you are and not judging you, who always have something to give even though they might not have any or get any……
